Struggling to get diagnosed with PCOS

It took me over 9 years to get diagnosed with PCOS, what finally got your medical advisor to finally listen and get you tested for PCOS?

I also have a blood disorder, so I had been told by all my doctors my whole life that my heavy and inconsistent periods were because of that. I finally got a new nurse practitioner in a new town, and she immediately was like, “Nope. PCOS” So, she tested me, and I have it. I am thankful I went to her.

I found a new doctor in another town. I miss him so much! He wasn't the best there is at managing PCOS, but at least he listened to me enough to dx it. He's an MD ob/gyn.

Years of trying to beat adult cystic / hormonal acne with no luck… except for brief success with Spironolactone. symptoms of insulin resistance, eventually weight gain and suspected fertility issues 😑
