@Mcmeadow i get that too. i have a little dog who’s really attached to me and i’m not sure how he’d do with the adjustment. he does a lot of emotional regulation for me instinctually and protects me when i’m in pain

@MamaZC I first had to decide if I wanted to train a puppy myself or get one from an organization that does specialty training. I thought I wanted to train them myself but quickly realized I wouldn’t have the time nor energy to do that. it’s also really important to find the right breed for you. mine has to be hypoallergenic. if you decide to go the pre trained route, I would start googling [specialty] service dogs near me
