does anyone else feel like the start of their dissociation/depersonalization started when they began ssri’s?? i feel like they made me numb and i haven’t felt like i’m a real person since i started taking them 8 years ago- even after lowering my dose i still feel like life isn’t quite real

this is a concern i’d encourage you going to your doctor for honestly. it can be a side effect of a medication that maybe you shouldn’t be taking! i know a lot of people struggle with feeling numb/distant on ssri’s but i’ve never personally heard about more dissociation on them. i could be wrong though, so checking with your doctor is the best thing!!

  @pixiestick thank you! yeah i started them also at the same time as i experienced some trauma so it’s most likely the ptsd causing dissociation but i was just curious if my medication was influencing it
