I DROVE WITHOUT A PANIC ATTACK!!! some of you have suggested taking it one step at a time (not thinking about the destination and just focusing on where you are now), and some have suggested music. I implemented both and... Before i left the house i did deep breathing exercises, i drank water and peed. i took a walk outside then went back inside. When i was ready to drive, i treated it like i was on a mission to FIGHT my anxiety. I'm more powerful than it. I watched this video on Youtube and the therapist said "The only way to stop the cycle of Panic Attacks is to demonstrate to your brain that anxiety is not dangerous." She said anxiety is uncomfortable but not dangerous. She also has a video where she said she told one of her clients to have a panic attack in front of her and he couldnt. This shows that our Panic attacks come from a fear of having a Panic attack. So while driving, i tried this. i told myself to have one. AND I COUDN'T!! i won!!! stupid anxiety. β€οΈ well done β€οΈ The hardest thing I have found with panic attacks and anxiety is feeling like they are a weakness and something that shouldn't happen because I should be stronger but actually this is complete rubbish. They are the bodies reaction when we get too anxious. And the world today is very overwhelming at times. I've had them since teenage years and I didn't understand them then. And now I do and I've opened up about them I can see them from a different perspective and not be so hard on myself.
