Struggling with BPD: Seeking Advice on Progression and Treatment

Hello! Very similar experience with diagnosis timeline and age symptoms started. The greatest progressive I've noticed in myself from a few years ago to now is my impulse control. Specifically when I'm having an upsetting conversation with another person. A few years ago I would respond to feeling insulted by lashing out and trying to cut the person down as deeply as I could. I hated that I did it after the fact. What I do now instead is say the nasty stuff in my head (shit I scream it in my head), but wait 5 seconds before I allow myself to speak out loud. This has significantly improved my ability to speak my emotions, but in a constructive way. Another sign of progression is a reduction in the frequency and intensity of switching moods throughout the day.
