Does anyone else have issues with mucus in their stool/general mucus discharge? I currently follow a low fodmap diet, take a prebiotic and fiber supplement and multivitamin. But out of all my treatment for ibs my mucus issues have never gotten better. It really sucks, especially because sometimes the extra mucus ends up triggering a bigger flare up for me!

I have what I like to call, extra anal lubrication. Haha It's terribly embarrassing explaining it to someone. Just the mucus will trigger me to use the bathroom but nothing else will come out. I also can't trust my farts all of the time because of it.. I have a rectal Ulcer the doctor thinks is causing the issue but I don't know if she ever mentioned the IBS being the culprit. She sent me to pelvic floor physical therapy for the mucus problem but I have yet to return due to my depression and other symptoms. Might be something to look into if you and your doc think it might help.
@Cookiee thanks so much, hope you also manage to find some relief too!
