My family's going on a trip to Puerto Rico (we are Puerto Rican) and my grandmother (who lives in PR) called my mother to express worry about my siblings s/o (who recently came out as transgender) about being safe in certain towns in Puerto Rico, that they should try to be more careful. Idk if I'm even making sense but what made me feel weird about it is that she didn't mention me at all, when I've been out as trans for years now. It just serves as a reminder that I'm so behind in my transition that I'm not even distinguishable from a cis girl, even to my family

My family basically sees me as a cis girl too, and it's really frustrating. I don't know what to do about it, but I wanted to offer my support. If you ever want to chat about it, feel free to message me
