Doctors are strange...if anyone has followed my story, I'm on my 3rd diagnosis of lung cancer, among other things. Been with my primary 5 years. Tests ordered, like dexa and various others have led me down the road to many specialists. My pulmonologist put me on night oxygen when a sleep test showed oxygen dipped to 77. A bone test took me to orthopedic where last week's lab tests shows bones actually pretty good and no treatment needed except calcium and vit D. okay good. She shares however, that hema and hemo and rbc is high. Says there's a piece missing from my puzzle she just doesn't understand, so refers me to hematologist. Making that appt, I discovered that the pulmonologist diagnosed me with polycythemia Vera, I figure reason for night oxygen. However, I don't do treatments or pharma drugs, so I research everything about my conditions. Funny part to me, 2 weeks ago I asked my primary was polycythemia a possible problem and told no. Go figure!
