Complex Hernia Surgery: What to Expect?

has anyone had a complex hernia surgery? I am finally able to get the surgery but I will pretty much be fileted open, they will extract my uterus and ovary, my gall bladder, and then pull from my back my abdominal tissue, add in a mesh that will go side to side and top to bottom. I believe he is also going to run my intestine to make sure everything is kosher. I have Crohn's so sometimes you can have scar tissue, diseased sections and not know it. it will be at least 8 hours for the procedure. I'm nervous and it's hard to get everything together logistically. my surgery will be 3 hours away, with 2 middle schoolers, and a needy dog. we have no family down here and only 1 or 2 friends. none that could really help. I'm so stressed.
