I am working on getting my hernias repaired. without the repair, I can't get my gallbladder or uterus removed. my hernias measure 7"x4" and 9"x3". it's terribly painful and my Crohn's doctor is blaming my abdominal pain from that. before it from my chronic use of narcotics, but it's been almost 2 months since I quit and it got worse. it wasn't the meds and now I can't go back on them because I use thc now. it works ok on my pain, but it makes me dizzy and tired. I am taking a 5mg edible twice a day. I have constant lower abdominal pain and can even feel it twitch and hear it gurgle. sometimes it feels like I'm pregnant again. I hate my body.

So sorry you're in so much pain. Chronic pain sucks big time!

It's hard to take in sometimes, the destruction we do to our own bodies! It's just been hitting me lately, the fact that I used weight to protect myself from men, but now, because of the way my body is covered with osteoarthritis, I realized that I was destroying my future health. I gave up my health to protect my mind. It was the only decision I could make at the time being I was only 16 years old. Now at age 57, I wished I thought more deeply into what I did to myself.

Why can't they do everything at once? It seems stupid to have multiple surgeries when it is probably better for you to only go under anesthesia once. Oh wait, insurance companies won't pay for more than one thing at a time. So, I am having knee problems but can't see the knee doctor the same day as the ankle doctor because insurance won't pay for it. So frustrating. Doctors can be unsympathetic sometimes. It is easy to blame something else for things. Sounds like it is time to change doctors at least for the chron's

@MaryC I've been thinking about that but this doctor is a tertiary care doctor. Like a big time specialist. My last scope showed 3 ulcerations but because it was below 5, I'm considered in remission. It doesn't feel like it some days.
