I had L4/L5 Laminectomy plus a disectomy. 45 min total. Very simple. Now I was at advanced stages in my stenosis, talking CES starting to present, so my recovery for a month was complete hell... Most I hear from say the pain is gone immediately after surgery! In a couple weeks etc. So hopefully you've caught it before you get where I was. You'll be fine.
