I’m stuck. I’m not on medication. I was on cymbalta for depression for a year or so and that was when I developed bpd and a lot of psychotic symptoms. I was in the mental hospital two separate time for three days each and they diagnosed me there. The medication (latuda) was $800 with insurance which we couldn’t afford so I stopped all my medication entirely. It feels mostly better without it. I’m mostly stable disorder wise except when I am in a crowded or stressful environment (shopping for example. I always get overwhelmed). The problem is that I’m unemployed. I quit my job because I needed to do the externship for my phlebotomy license in March. However even with the license and despite applying to phlebotomy jobs and retail jobs, I haven’t been able to be hired anywhere. I’m wondering if I should apply for disability, go back to therapy (I stopped because of the cost and it didn’t make a lot of difference), or should talk to a psychiatrist. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you very much!
