Dealing with Negative Family Dynamics

My family really affects my feelings and emotions at all times and since i live with them i can’t escape my negative thoughts ever even with friends. They rarely acknowledge me and when they do they just villainize me. When i’m with friends the moment gets ruined by me thinking about having to go home. And since we aren’t close and don’t communicate i don’t know what to do. Any advice to try and control how this will affect my depressive episode’s? or even advice with my family?

      It's sad how much I can relate to this, it can be very hard for us to work things out, they tend to get very upset that I dare have negative feelings. I just try to stay calm and play to compromise as often as I can, but there's not much to do

      Maybe try family therapy to get things out in the open. Or write down your feelings that way its off your chest.

        @Crescent_Moon just read what you posted and that’s seriously stupid. We both deserve more than that. Sometimes i just wish i could either change myself so they’d like me or just get a new family yet despite that i still love them. Family is wayyy too complicated

          @markiplier Also, I agree we do both deserve more than that. Overall I appreciate the family I have, but depending on the sibling I either have more or less tension in my relationship with them, even though I'm over here just trying to chill the fuck out and enjoy life.

          @markiplier Honestly, what you said means a lot to me. What he did and said really hurt me a lot. And the thing is this isn't the first time he's done shit that has been sexist towards me, etc. That was just the first time he took something of mine before.
