Unfortunately I can completely relate. I’m not sure the specifics of your situation, but boundaries have been life changing for me. There is a book called Boundaries by Dr. John Townsend- it really helps you understand and implement boundaries with loved ones. Plus one of the most important things to remember is YOU are in charge of how people treat you. You deserve love, respect, kindness, etc- you don’t have to earn it, esp from your family. There is nothing wrong with setting boundaries with loved ones. It has actually changed my relationship with my mother and brother in a 100% positive way. But I’m not gonna lie, it’s not easy. I’m actually no contact with my father (I’ve had to block his number in my phone) as a result of setting boundaries. But even though it’s hard, it’s a good thing because I am protecting myself (as I deserve). I hope any of this helps you. Please just know that you are worthy and family members don’t get to treat you poorly

I unfortunately live with my parents still. I'm constantly triggered.
