Really struggling recently with my health anxiety. It’s been difficult specifically with chest pain— even causing me to get an echocardiogram last week. Although things are normal the pain I get in my chest/upper back is still convincing me there’s something wrong.

Hi!! I went to the ER in December because of severe chest pains and then after that I continued to have shortness of breath my entire winter break and it was hell. I did every test you could think of and nothing was wrong and everyone told me it was anxiety. Flash forward to now, I’m doing a lot better. It’ll take time but you got this!

I completely understand how u feel. Last year my health anxiety was horrible, everyday I thought I was dying. My chest keep hurting, I keep getting random pains, and when I got a headache I was sooo scared. I was convinced something was wrong everyday but we just got to remind ourselves that it's anxiety. Dr kirren on Instagram helped me a lot last year, she mostly talks about health anxiety which is awesome!

@J.Cooky yes! Recently found her on IG and really want to dive into her videos!! I think the hardest part is just convincing yourself the physical pains are being caused by the anxiety which is so scary to do

@Rae26 omg yes!! Everytime I tried my anxiety was like "nah somethings wrong" which drove me crazy and when we finished worrying about one thing our anxiety jumps to other one

@Rae26 you’re right, it is so difficult to convince myself that it’s just anxiety. But after you get checked out, all we can really do is trust that we are okay and not to overthink it. Just know that you’re okay and when a negative thought starts to pop up in your head, just move it aside and move along with your day. It keeps me calm knowing that i only think I’m dying, but doctors KNOW I’m not!
