you're right. I do that a lot and invalidate myself a lot. I have a CPAP now thank god but i was an absolute zombie before. I forget how serious my problems are until ive spiraled out of control and then I'm like "oh yeah, this" lol

Yes I have a number of conditions that aren't fatal and not really dangerous (one can be if not monitored but caught early and monitored isn't) and I feel frustrated that doctors minimize the impact that affects me daily and makes me just feel lousy all the time. And they will consider them stabilized when I'm barely able to get through the day, yet I'm struggling to keep working full time and it just kinda stinks.

Yeah same here, I'm one of the few in the adult daycare that's able bodied and young. Im still disabled though and I can see how all the mental inconveniences can add up to make a regular working life impossible, you still need help, you still have a condition and just because it's not fatal immediately doesn't mean aspects of your condition can't threaten your life. If it just gets worse beyond your control with no help you could end up suicidal or behaving violently enough that you get taken out and theres tons of ways it could pocket itself and echo into getting worse like a cycle of poor sleep becoming sleep deprivation while people essentially mess with you in ways that from your point of view are torture added to what you're experiencing but to them it's something waaay less serious then boom beyond your control you snap or something. Not saying that literally you are capable of this as your character but hey if you torture anyone enough. Did you know cutting someone's sleep can give them dementia? And interrupting people while they're thinking can break their memory? Have you looked into pavlovian conditioning and seen how it's used on humans? Drug addiction is constantly a way to say the actual addiction problem is over there outside of me and I'm fine. Whatever you're going through it's serious and valid, don't compare suffering
