Does anyone know if going off birth control pills could cause my panic attacks to increase? I had been on the pill for 15 years and came off of it a few months ago. I’ve had two panic attacks in the past month but before that, I hadn’t had a serious panic attack for many, many years. I’m wondering if the changes in my hormones without the pill regulating them could be contributing to more panic. Or it’s just a coincidence…🤷♀️

Oh yes, hormones can definitely cause panic attacks. It takes 3-6mos for your hormones to level back out after stopping or starting birth control.
