I'm brand new here but have had a traumatic brain injury since 2001 and I'm just wondering if anyone else out there is going through what I am. I STILL isolate and it's hard for me to find meaning.

I've been post Traumatic Brain Injury for 35 years (1987), when I was 3 years old. It's been a rocky, difficult journey. I feel like I made leaps and bounds in recovery every 10 years or so. Don't give up, don't see yourself stuck this way. If I can offer any tips I will. One of the best things, I wish I had known sooner, is that having the slightest (undiagnosed) food allergy in my diet complicated healing. Allergies cause swelling, TBI's cause enough swelling to worry about that affects the brain, you don't really want to be troubled with more. A good Allergy doctor can help you confirm if you do. If you experience headaches often, go get checked for allergies. Feel free to ask me any questions

I overdosed in herion in 2013, I have severe hearing loss and have pretty much just hung out with family since. But I have made one friend since we still hang out occasionally. Best of luck to you.
