Tokki here. I’m really struggling with self harm/destructive ideations. Right now. My husband is falling into a really deep depression, and because of my past actions & words, I can’t help but feel like it’s my fault. But I also feel powerless to stop it or help at all. He no longer feels like he can talk to me (which is again because of my past actions and the way I treated him), and I feel fucking terrible. I don’t know how else to cope other than hurting myself in some way, shape, form, or fashion.. Any advice?

I use to do the same thing! I had to focus on what I would miss, like my children, my husband, my friends, and my family! I would thi k about what it would do to them! Not only that but how I would miss all the precious moments in life that are good! It is a struggle but when you think of all the positive things it helps a lot! Even self harm is like taking a part of you away! Remember all the good things in life. Breathe and slow your body down through meditation. That has always helped me through it. Yes I still think sometimes of doing it then snap out of it when I think of all the positive things and through mediation. Do not be afraid to message me if you want I am here for you!

Self-harm is not the answer. You can best show you care by doing the little things like cooking, dishes, etc and wait for him to come to you or go to someone else. It's his road, and you have yours. Your road has to be fairly stable before you can put in a merge lane.
