Neurological Symptoms with Cervical Radiculopathy

Physical Therapy can help with pain management if you have burning/tingling/ electric shock (everyone feels nerve pain differently) in your arms. The muscle weakness can get worse. Related to root nerve C5-C7, I had radial palsy 12/2020. Lost use of my right hand, lasted months (on and off for about a year) even with Physical Therapy. I broke my neck, crushed C4 with spinal cord impingement in 2015. I had an Anterior Cervical Disk Fusion at C4-C5. I had to get trigger point injections for increased nerve pain (mine feels like my nerves are on fire) with good effect. I think I will have to go back soon as I'm having tightness and pain in my shoulders and neck again. The nerve pain gets worse. Also, you should be seeing a neurologist, not a chiropractor. Especially when it comes to your neck. Most, not all, chiropractors are not Medical Doctors. A neurologist would order an MRI or CT scan, an x-ray isn't gonna show narrowing of your cervical spine or if spinal cord/nerve roots are effected. Cervical stenosis can lead to paralysis (of upper and/or lower extremities)if not treated properly. My spine doctor is a physiotherapist, he specializes in spine issues. Please make an appointment with a neurologist, especially since damage to cervical spine can be permanent if not treated correctly.
