new here, mainly making this to probably ask questions/feel less alone about autism (undiagnosed, AFAB, waiting for diagnosis but waiting list is very longšŸ„²) constantly doubting whether i actually have autism or not

@pagan thank you for the offer! I decided with my therapist (at least for now) that I'm going to avoid an official diagnosis, as it would likely impact my life in more negative ways than positive and I'm able to mask enough to get by. She suggested I ask for accommodations on my individual problems instead, as it can avoid some of the stigma and difficulties that come with a formal diagnosis. It's something I used to want and do support others going for but it seems to backfire for so-called "high-functioning" (able to mask well enough to slip under the radar) individuals

Iā€™ve been questioning if itā€™s a possibility for a few years now. Honestly I donā€™t even know how to go about getting a diagnosis. Itā€™s frustrating

@Gabs04 as I said in a previous comment, the analysis test is pretty tedious, if you would like you can shoot me a message and we can go over the steps to get tested, or maybe you might just want a better understanding of the diagnosis as a whole. Either way shoot me a text I'm usually always available

Hi, I'm in the same situation, AFAB with self-diagnosis of autism. I'm diagnosed with OCD as well

@Anura imma be honest the test is pretty tedious, and depending on where you are in regards to your development could determine how much help the official diagnosis can be for you. If you would like you can shoot me a message and we can go over a game plan to get you set on the right path
