      I had my first ablation 3 months ago. I'm doing good so far. I was diagnosed with A-fib about 7 years ago. My heart was shocked back in beat when I was first diagnosed with A-fib

        @termite I go in and out even with a pacer

      I had one that lasted 3 days. My then Dr tried to treat me with meds for two years and tried ablation,and then opted for a pacer.

      I've had a pacemaker about 12 years. Also had the Watchman put in last Oct.

      I got pacemaker at 72. I have afib and getting ready for 2nd ablation.

        @EricaLynn I wouldn't do an ablation.It did work for my oldest daughter but it scars the heart. Personally,If they want to do more than one,I'd tell them no.Ask what's next.

          @MommaJo Second ablation lowered heart rate but I will take your advice if they say I need 3rd ablation.

      I believe pacemakers are probably better for bradycardia than they are for tachycardia because usually there are other things you can do that are less invasive with tachycardia but how do you get your heartbeat to speed up without a pacemaker is beyond me.

        @Wondercell you don't unless it's caffeine and that's short term.

      I am waiting for a date to have mine put in. My heart rate is usually in the 40’s or has dropped as low as 35 according to my doctor but only does that at night. Also, my heart has stopped a couple of times for 5 and six seconds. I feel pretty good most of the time but I need to get this regulated so I will quit worrying and will have more energy

        @Ceig Also I have had 3 Ablations

        @Ceig There's a new micra pacemaker out, world's smallest pacemaker that goes inside your heart and you don't feel it, mine is bulky between my shoulder and heart area. I wish I could get a micra. My heart stopped 13 time's before I had a pacemaker. 2 ablations didn't work. Bless you
