How do you manage with bipolar? Does it effect your ability to work? Do you find a set routine helps?

      I was diagnosed when I was 16, I worked and raised my kids but it was very difficult, it's gotten to the point that I can't work anymore, when I do have a job the thought of going to work literally makes me physically ill

          @Janeee not really, my mom and dad have passed away and my sister died from cancer in October 2021, she was my biggest support system, now I don't really have anyone that cares

      I take meds that manage it 90%. Some times people will see me at my best when I'm manic and have so much energy so they think I'm great. But then I crash and they get disappointed in what is left of me.

        @Chesbro99 It good the meds help, I can imagine being manic then crashing. Do they know your a person with bipolar?

          @Janeee no I don't tell the people I work with. I wouldn't unless it came up in some way

      Routines for different types of days help.. not beating yourself up when you have low days. Meditations help. A balanced diet helps. You'll find things that work for you.

          @Janeee the app called insight timer is a really great app for meditation. I would start with just a minute or two at a time if you are new at it.
