ive found writing about how i feel either by journaling or writing poetry to help alot as I am unable to attend therapy/receive medication. its a good way to have somewhere to vent that you can revisit
I make sure to have meditation or breathing apps. I also try to keep track of general emotions and what occurred to create them. The biggest thing that has helped for me is EMDR therapy because it is for trauma. I've done a lot of counseling, but this has been the most successful for supporting my anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
For me the only answer was EMDR therapy due to age and trauma n such but frankly the best way to learn is to try everything that you're suggested and see what works for you. Some people aren't really the best at therapy because of what it requires from them but maybe just controlled breathing or intensive physical activity could help more
I go to therapy a lot, try to do things Ike meditation and keep some kind of routine but those are super hard for me. Grounding helps and checking the facts as well. Also, I did ketamine infusion therapy for a while and Holy cow moly is it helpful for me. It is kind of like medication, but I did it once a week for 6 weeks then once every 2 months with a doctor. I've been on pharmaceutical drugs ever since for my MH issues. Am I perfect now? No. Is it leagues better? Yes.
