It’s okay to struggle. Depression is freaking hard. Don’t put unnecessary guilt on yourself for struggling and not being able to do the things you can do on a normal day, because it’s obviously not a normal day. It’s a hard day. Take it literally one step at a time, allowing yourself to stop at any point. Take your blanket off. Roll over. Sit up. Put one foot on the floor. Put the other foot on the floor. Breathe. Just keep going from there as much as you can. It’s okay if you take a shower or eat and then get back in bed. It’s okay for you to grieve the fact that you have to deal with this, and that you’ve had to deal with it for so long. It sucks! But you’re here. You’re reaching out to people who can understand, and that’s self care. You’ve already taken one big step today. If this is all you do today, that’s okay. You can always start again tomorrow. 💜

I suffered from all of those things for 15+ years. Are you seeing a therapist? Specifically, one who specializes in DBT? DBT changed and saved my life.

Hey hang in there. Though it sucks, it’s a bit relieving to know I’m not alone in feeling the same, but we’ve been through so much and I know we can go at least a bit farther. It’s ok if you’re stuck in bed, so was I up until a few minutes ago tbh, and lately I’ve only been showering once a week, which I sometimes feel bad about, but people with mental illnesses and other issues are often fighting to even stay alive, yet alone do things others take for granted. Also when you have a bit more energy make sure to take care of your SH wounds, you’ll get through this ❤️

I am so so sorry. That's such a scary feeling. You are not alone. Can I help you find a warmline or a hotline to call?
