Hmm I’m starting to see pots and add more common together, are they linked?

i have ADD and POTS as well. i actually have found that i do best without ADD meds (def don’t recommend that for everyone tho) i often need just a bit of caffeine as a stimulant to get my brain to focus (like 8-10oz of coffee). a lot of my issues were also really worsened by brain fog and propranolol has been really helpful for that. the best thing i’ve found is just to get in a routine and really train yourself. there’s extra things we have to do to take care of ourselves and help ourselves focus. i also research things to help both add and pots and kind of experiment and try new things on myself. i just have to be extra careful to learn and know what helps and what makes me worse. feel free to message me if you want to!
I was wondering what kind of doctor prescribed your add medication.I have ADD and it has been causing quite a problem in school recently but I also have pots

Agree with electrolytes & compression socks. I'll also recommend doing what you can to improve exercise tolerance. Short walks are fine, build it up as you can. POTS makes exercise difficult, but POTS with deconditioning together is even more difficult.

Salt tabs and compression stockings have helped me big time!
I constantly add electrolyte supplements to my drinks during the day it has made the most difference in brain fog I’ve found. I use a powder on Amazon called HRDWRK Electrolytes Powder, I drink at least 4 32oz thermoses worth of crystal lyte or other sugar free water flavoring with half a scoop of electrolyte powder in each drink( the powder says not to take more than 3 servings a day so I don’t use full scoops because I’m going to drink more than 3 drinks and it works best evenly spread out, I’m not actually sure why it says no more than 3 servings a day though)
Take note of your bp. I notice my brain fog is worse when my bp is low. I take midodrine TID and drink liquidiv both have been life changing.
I recently started taking L-Tyrosine and it has really helped with my “brain farts”. I also had labs done and found that I was vitamin deficient. Since increasing my daily Vitamin D3 (5000ius) and B12 each week (5000mcg) and getting more sleep, it’s really helped a lot. Also staying hydrated with electrolytes is crucial! I try to keep my coffee at 2 cups a day and found that with my ADD coffee has a calming effect on me. I also take Spirulina which helps a lot. When I don’t take it, I can tell the difference. Hope you can find what works for you! 🤗
Liquid iv drinks have been very helpful for sure. I also have POTS and ADD and I take adderall. It helps immensely with fatigue and brain fog! I also get really bad fibro fog from my fibromyalgia and it also helps with that too.
1. Because you have ADD, sugar might help more than caffeine. A brain with ADD or ADHD often runs best on sugar over other stimulants. You know your body best. 2. If you can treat the cardiac symptoms of pots, this will help the other symptoms like fatigue & brain fog too. It's crazy how exhausting blood pressure changes can be. What worked for stabilizing my POTS was low dose atenolol + liquidiv drinks.
