Dealing with a friend who wants ADHD meds for weight loss

Has anyone else had a friend or something hear about how Adderall or other ADHD medications can cause weight loss and then that person just wants the medication so they assume they have the disorder??? I have a close friend like this and she’s killing me rn. Does anyone have any advice for how to handle a person like this?!😩

      I would immediately cut ties with them. find their parents and let them know that they are drug seeking. break ties and start fresh all on your own

        @Catia her dad is in jail, her mom is dead, and she’s my bff. That’s why I’m so concerned! 🥺 I love her to pieces but she needs help and idk what to do to get her the help she NEEDS without her spewing lies in order to TRY to manipulate and deceive a psychiatrist all for stimulants. Plus she’s got small children she neglects sometimes because of her mood disorder that’s unmedicated and I’m scared if they find a prescription for adderall they’ll mistake it for candy!!!

          @CSweet94 no point trying to interfere. There’s people who go to medical facilities to get B12 shots for weight loss then drink a sweet tea as soon as they get back in their car. Until she learns that there is no easy way to lose weight, she’ll try anything.
