Journaling, reading, mediating, working out - every form of activity in which you are spending time with yourself and doing something for you. I found out that in stressful times I often skip on some 'me' time and then I feel even more anxious - its like a snowball. It doesn't have to be hours, even a couple of minutes during the day will do great! Stay strong🤗

I was doing all the self care before & after work & on lunch break to manage stress: yoga, walking, meditation, etc. My therapist recommended binaural beats. For me it has been a game changer. I use it during work & sometimes when falling asleep. I was having sleep disturbance after all my life being able to fall asleep & stay asleep quick. I use the Beatfulness app for binaural beats with headphones & the Breethe app for mediations during day & falling asleep.

Hey, I agree with the above about meditation. I can add that you can find free apps to practice meditation. Lately, I have started practicing meditation every morning. I find that every morning with meditation led to a calmer day with less stress.

I have found that mindful breathing helps me with stress and anxiety attacks and when I'm just being overwhelmed. The formula for breathing that I use is 4-6-8. Breathing in through your nose to the count of four, holding your breath for the count of six, then exhaling through your mouth for the count of eight. The breaths should be big and expand your diaphragm and your lungs. I find it helps when I count, it takes my mind off of other matters including what has set off my anxiety. I do this for maybe one or two minutes and I do usually have my eyes closed when I do it but I have found that it really helps a lot. I hope you get a chance to try it!🤗
