Can I Stay Overnight After Laparoscopic Gallbladder Removal?

hi I am new here and this is my first post but I wanted to ask because I couldn't find this on google but do I have to go home after my laproscopic gallbladder removal or can I request to stay overnight and yes I understand it's an outpatient procedure but I am concerned about my recovering at home by myself because I have Noone to stay with me I didn't ask the surgeon because I didn't know how to approach him I only met with him once and that was today thanks in advance
