Anyone have issues with treatment resistance?

Yes! My bipolar depression is considered treatment resistant. I've spent a solid year changing medications over and over (after almost 10 years of relative stability on lithium and lamictal). The meds that have seemed to work had side effects I couldn't tolerate. There's one more new drug I can try. The next step is to replace the lithium, which has helped me manage mania and mood swings well so I'm nervous. We've also discussed the transcranial magnetic stuff and ECT. How about you, what's your situation with treatment resistance?
