Have any other trans masc/nonbinary people had more trouble in recovery? Whether that includes treatment centers not being accepting, or something else. I my case, I started to see some changes make me look more passable, making my restriction worse.

      yesss I am nonbinary and am always being misgendered in treatment which just makes my mental health worse

      yes! being hospitalized with women always made me feel like i was never seen as agender. i understand the reasoning behind it, being sex & safety, but it always made me feel invalidated. recovery is hard. i gain weight in areas where i wish i didn't. however, exercising & building muscle instead of restricting/doing mostly cardio has helped me significantly.

      I can also relate to this. LGBTQ+ folks are much more at risk for developing an ED and it’s so rarely talked about. You’re not alone 💕

      Oh, absolutely... I can relate with restricting to pass better. That’s why I started restricting, well, one of the reasons why. My restriction has always been tied to dysphoria in some way. So, yeah, recovery has been a bit difficult because of that.
