Subq or intramuscular? Sometimes for subq if you rub the spot firmly to diversify the spread of the T it can help. Ive heard that that is much less effective w intramuscular so if its hurting you it might be better to switch injection types. And lastly maybe test to make sure you're not allergic to cottonseed oil or whatever oil is in your meds, it's what T is suspended in to make it an injectable medication and mild allergies can cause burning and tingling reactions.
@AnimalBoy theyre subq injections, and ive heard about rubbing the area to diversify it before but after my injection that area stings especially if i touch it Im not sure how to know if im allergic to the cypionate or if it just is supposed to sting
@kxda it does hurt when you rub it, it's kind of like ripping a bandaid off where it hurts more but not for as long. My doctor was the one who tested and ruled out allergies for it so im not sure how to go about that at home
I had to start using smaller and shorter needles. I do subQ and use 27g 1/2in which does make it harder to Inject but reduces pain greatly in my case

@Distortion right now my injection needle is 25G 5/8” its pretty smaller, it doesnt hurt much when it goes in the stinging hurts the worst right before and then after it comes out and it stings for like 5+ mins and then is sensitive for a day or so but i feel like its not supposed to sting that bad

One user suggested putting on music you like, getting everything prepped and ready, and when you have to actually put the needle in, close your eyes and focus on your breathing and the music. They find the puncture part to be the worst, once the needle is in, they can open their eyes again and steady themselves to push the plunger. Count a couple breaths (they usually do about 10) and quickly pull the needle out and bandaid.
