I was on Adderall for years (and various other stimulants) and recently it came up that I have a heart issue so they took me off of it cold turkey and started me on Stattera this morning. I don't know what to do because I'm in college and have a lot of things to do but I took the Strattera this morning and I literally can't stand up without getting extremely dizzy and lightheaded. Has this happened to anyone else? Will this get better as time goes on? I'm so stressed about this change in meds and not being able to stand up is a HUGE problem.

How is your dizziness feeling? Does it feel like when you stand up too fast or like the world is spinning?
I didn’t get dizziness I got increase heart rate to where it was like scary at first I felt like I was having anxiety attacks over again, for some reason peanut butter didn’t help that either, but after a while I was able to increase my dosage
It happened to me for about the first week I took it. I've been on it for a month now. Also make sure to eat when you take it. It makes me really sick and puke if I don't eat. It may help the dizziness too. Good Luck. Hope this is helpful.
