I got a 24-hour stomach bug which is no big deal, but during this time I am completely quarantined from my nephew. I think of him like my son, and it's really rough for me. I can hardly stop crying. does anyone have any advice on how I could calm down and be less dependent on his company in the future?

Do you have to be less dependent? When I get sick that’s when I miss the people around me most I’m wondering if that’s what’s happening. I personally don’t see a problem. I think you could distract yourself with other things or hobbies such as reading a book, taking a nap, watching a show, etc.

this wouldn’t exactly help with being less dependent on his company, but could you video chat with him? or is he too young for that even?
