I am really struggling with my mental health due to my hsv status…I’ve done all the research in the world and I know this is such a common and harmless condition but it really weighs on my mind and heart. Whenever I’m interested in someone I reject myself by thinking they won’t be interested in me once I disclose. It really keeps me from putting myself out there…Looking for someone who gets it : / have you experienced something similar? How do you overcome these limiting beliefs?

My husband is trans! We found each other and he was very upfront once we decided to date. I love him for who he is and we're working together to get his top surgery done. Its hard but unless you put yourself out there you'll never know. A true friend would never turn you away.

I have it too and I felt the exact same way you do. My best friend also has it and is in your situation. We have come to the conclusion that she will be honest with any potential partner in the beginning and if they decide to leave then that was meant to be. I have a longterm partner for over 4 years who has not gotten it and he also says he does not care about me having it. Really it is such a harmless and common virus a lot of people have it and don't even know it. It is completely up to you when you disclose but my best advice is to keep it short and simple and treat it as a common conversation without making a big fuss about it. Hope this helped you feel a little better!💕
I hope you feel better🙌
I was recently told by my husband that he wasn't attracted to me and has never been due to a condition I have. I have NF. It affects everyone different but for me it affects my skin and I have hundreds of spots in a variety of browns all over my body. Some big, some small. We are most likely headed to a divorce due to a lot of other issues as well but I know when I am finally ready to date again I want someone who is accepting of it all. If they aren't and if they don't find my spots beautiful, I know they aren't worth my time. I know it is a little different with your co diction, but someone out there will be willing to look past it because they will care about you enough to.

I am transgender and I'm always afraid that the person I'm interested in won't like me once they find out I don't have the parts they expected me to. There's probably a lot of differences in what we're experiencing, but you're not alone in being nervous to get into relationship because of a "secret". Usually I just try to bring it up as soon as possible so neither of us waste our time if they're not interested
