Does anyone else on here use neopronouns? I feel like I've been really struggling with my identity the last couple years and I wonder if it's due to my (presumed) neurodiversity

I don’t use neo pronouns, but I am a gender diverse person on the autism spectrum. What I can tell you from my experience is that I have a lot of trouble understanding social norms and the unwritten rules of being a person that everyone seems to know. Because of this I have a hard time with gender, because it is technically something made up by society. Gender is defined by traits that are deemed masculine or feminine and that always felt ridiculous to me because everyone has a mix of both sets of traits. I never acted the way a girl was supposed to act but I wasn’t looked at as boy because I was “too soft and kind” so I kinda wrote off the concept as a whole, as another thing neurotypical people did that I would never understand. I use both she/her and they/them pronouns regularly but I love he/him too I just don’t expect people to use those because of my “feminine” appearance. Honestly explore neo pronouns see if they fit, see if they make you feel like you, and if they do, use them they are a valid set of pronouns no matter was certain haters say. Life is short dont try to be anything other than your completely authentic self, but also know that it’s ok for that to change over the years because no one is the same at 15 and 30 we are meant to evolve into different people throughout our lives and their is no shame in that, so if after a while your pronouns change your are still valid and you weren’t “attention seeking” or “wrong” you are just different know and that’s ok☺️ and if you do find a set on neo pronouns that makes you happy we would love to know what they are so that we can use and respect them💕

Anyone can use neopronouns, not just neurodivergent people. There's tons of resources online for identities and neopronouns, I would recommend searching on Tumblr :)

@Eren2273 Aaa sorry, I didn't mean to imply only neurodivergent people use em!

@RattheRemi It's okay! Sorry I took it the wrong way
