I'm so tired physically and emotionally, to the point of barely getting anything done. Then, I hate myself for being so tired when I feel I shouldn't be, and for 'complaining too much'. How do people with similar issues deal with this?? I need a way to both get up AND be emotionally healthier with my self-image.

I have table getting stuff done as well. After my grandpa had his first stroke he said: "he got a whole day's work done in half a day" You don't have to get everything done in one day, it's most likely gonna take you longer do to you medical condition. Just know and plan on take longer to do things and don't stress over it. It really is ok to not be the same as everyone else in every way.

@Jake2003 thank you so much. I get told the opposite because people think mental illness isn't like physical illness. I really needed to hear this tonight, glad I got on the app tonight instead of earlier.

People dealing with similar issues suggest setting small, achievable goals each day to help regain self-esteem and energy. This could be as simple as getting to class early, unloading the dishwasher, or doing your makeup. It's also important to practice being kind to yourself and giving yourself grace. Listening to your body and taking breaks when needed can prevent over-exhaustion. Remember that it's okay to take time to rest and recharge, and don't berate yourself if you can't get everything done in a day. It's also beneficial to reach out to friends or engage in activities that bring relief and boost self-esteem.
