I’ve finally realized that I’m just so lonely. I’ve got walls higher than Everest but I know that with time I could let people in. Like I desperately want close friends but I just can’t find anyone who I connect with or who will stick around. I’ve gotten so scared to get close to people because I’m scared they will abandon me or because they just wind up being people who want to take advantage. One of which has happened every time I’ve tried. Those I could see myself getting close to always disappear before I’m ever able to take a single brick off my wall, even when I explain up front that it takes a veryyyy long time for me to open my self up emotionally and they say they understand. Does anyone else know this feeling?

I am glad I am not the only one like this. I just had a rough week where I had a flat tire and couldn't get anyone to help me. I took a few days and said screw it and fixed it myself, but it felt horrible knowing that I had no one that has my back.

I hear ya. I was the exact same way for years and I always wondered why no one chose me. Even today, it takes me freaking forever to build relationships with my peers because of my stupidly high walls. You are absolutely not alone in this feeling. I know you don't know me yet but I would love to get to know you. DM me a 👋 if you're interested.

I feel the same way as this. I try to talk to people but they loose interest I feel. I think I make connections but then I either always have to text first or don't hear from them at all. If you would like to chat with me feel free to send me a message.

@batgirl79 yes! I realized a few years ago that I was always the one making the effort. I had to send the first text, make the phone call, ask to hang out and when I stopped, nothing. They just disappear!
