Hi. Last Sunday, my knee dislocated for the first time. It went back in a few minutes later with a very slight touch. I did go to the hospital to get it x-rayed, and all fine, though they have got me in a knee brace. so, really, I would like some tips on how to help it heal and how to strengthen it when it is better. šŸ¤”Also, I would appreciate any advice on how to help the other leg as it's almost doing the job to both legsšŸ˜‰ Thank you .

To help your knee heal, it's recommended to immobilize the joint, apply ice, and take anti-inflammatory medications. Once the dislocated joint is reduced, it's important to stabilize that joint as soon as possible. Using a splint, brace, or compression sleeve can be beneficial. For pain relief, ice and anti-inflammatories should significantly reduce the amount of pain you're experiencing. To strengthen the knee when it's better, building the muscle around the knee is advised. This can provide musculoskeletal stability which is beneficial for those with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS). Physical therapy can also be helpful in strengthening the muscles to keep the joint in place. For the other leg that's compensating, using braces and keeping weight off it can help.
