I was diagnosed with psoriasis last year after my obgyn did a biopsy (yes - I have the worst of it location wise). Shortly after it then spread to my scalp and ears. During the time leading up to these flares, I gained about 35 lbs (135 lbs —> 170 lbs) and I just feel like something else is going on, other than just psoriasis. I eat healthy (I’m an dietitian) and work out 5-6x/week. My thyroid panel has always been normal. But I’m wondering if anyone has experience with being diagnosed with hashimotos or any other secondary autoimmune / inflammatory conditions that have caused rapid weight gain or weight loss resistance.

I have Hashimotos and was just diagnosed with psoriasis on my scalp. Autoimmune diseases can come in pairs and you are more prone to developing additional autoimmune diseases after having one. Psoriasis is autoimmune so I would recommend getting your thyroid levels checked.
