I have only taken a significant amount of psilocybin twice, and I felt very depressed a day or two after both times.

Yes! I’ve only had a few encounters with psilocybin, but it has lessened the frequency and depth of my depressive episodes

It made both my manic and depressive episodes flat line for a good while actually, now that I think about it. For a while like for a few months I didn’t experience the highs of the mania nor the lows of the depression just a healthy flat line where I was neither depressed nor euphorically happy just content and able to manage life a little better than usual, this was pre-meds.
I tried to microdose for a while (and megadose lol) and I didn’t notice any big changes. I read that it’s better for unipolar depression but can induce mania in bipolar patients. I still try to microdose when depressed just in case it helps
I’ve only tried it once during a manic episode. It didn’t alter the frequency of them and I made the very terrible decision to drive for 20 minutes during the peak. Don’t recommend for manic episodes, but could help depression.

I didn't hear about psilocybin, but I know that omega-3 and light therapy are alternative treatments that can help regulate mood.
