@Braden1962 you’re welcome! Just focus on you and your mental health. If they come around that would be wonderful, but you need to come first in your own life for the sake of your own mental health and happiness

Unfortunately you can’t make anyone understand, they have to want to understand first. It took a while for my parents to come around to the realization that they needed to stop and try to understand what I was going through.

I'm done explaining my conditions with my friends and family cause all I do is get judges. as they say you can lead a horse to a water but you can't make it drink it. especially parents are stubborn.

One of the suggestions provided is to involve a therapist in the conversation. If you go to a therapist, you could consider talking to both your therapist and your parents about doing a group session. Sometimes parents can have a hard time letting their kid feel emotions because they are scared that if they validate you, you will stay in that emotion forever. Having a therapist be a mediator can be a great way to establish boundaries and help your parents understand how they can best support you.
