Does anyone get so overwhelmed by grief that they don't think they can go on? It only seems to happen when I'm alone before trying to sleep. How do you pull yourself out of it? Should I even pull myself out, or is this normal grieving?

Grieving is normal and what you are describing is something deeper. In my experience, I would maybe seek help for depression. Whether it is temporary meds and or a therapist. I can tell you that it gets easier in time. I am 12 years after losing my only 3 friends in 3 months. I still battle with the pain and survivors guilt.
