Has anyone ever been OVER medicated for their thyroid? I now have a .006 TSH with all hypo symptoms. After months of trying to get my TSH detectable with a new endo who thought my holistic exam doctor was trying to kill now with dosages for a 400lb person

What is your reverse T3 level? I take cytomel instead of NDT because my reverse T3 got too high otherwise. (Iirc high reverse T3 can cause high heart rate but also hypo symptoms, because the medication isn't being converted correctly)

Even the holistic doctor only checked this once. My heart rate went down when I stopped taking the dosage meant for someone twice my size. Neither doc believes that’s ever really the issue. STTM failed for me. Whatever my problem is, it’s not that

Yes. Unfortunately that protocol is what landed me here - still with symptoms but a fast heart rate and low TSH. Overweight and tired but with a heart at risk, according to my endo. I have stepped away from that side of things because of this. It worked at first and I was on NTDs for years but then it just stopped working and next thing I know I was on 240 mg of NDT a day and a “functional medicine” doctor telling me I couldn’t switch to synthetic meds and should instead buy meds from Canada for hundreds of dollars a year. So now I’m stopping the Stop the Thyroid Madness madness.

I have to take a large dose of thyroid medication just to get by. My tsh has been undetectable for years. Sometimes I am overmedicated and lower the dose somewhat. I go by free T3 and free T4 tests, and go by the Stop the Thyroid madness protocol.
