Would your partner ever say that “they had to walk on eggshells” around you? Sadly I used to be very overally jealous and controlling.

My ex-boyfriend of four years said that to me once near the break up. He did not enjoy that I was attempting to motivate him to get a trade or career possibility or just something that could help him be successful later in life. He didn’t gI to college or anything. I think I was a little obsessed and aggressive with the motivation. However, it came from a good place. I think that if you discuss what’s making you be a little obsessive over any topic, you should have a better experience. My current boyfriend has been really wonderful about it. I immediately offer the reasoning about why I feel so strongly—usually it’s care and concern for him. He understands, thanks me and reassured me that he will let me know if he needs anything. It’s been really nice. I know it sounds cliche but communication is the key to everything.

Yes but it could be a great wake up call to work on the disorder I highly recommend watching doctor Daniel fox on YouTube

Yeah, he said that to me straight up. He said he felt like my emotional well-being was dependent on his actions. Which was probably true and unhealthy, but it still hurt to hear
My partner said something similar. They felt as if they were being “caged” because I was jealous almost all the time. Trying to work on that but I still feel bad and I’m still trying to work on that.

I still feel like that too and idk if that feeling will ever go away but I am doing my best to be a better partner
Yes my partner said that to me.i was the same way I was very controlling and jealous and I still have to work on it. It was a real wake up call when he said that to me and I was able to find things to help so I wasn't like that anymore. It's not perfect and sometimes when i find those feelings come up I do what helps and over time the feeling passes.
@Jaelin I also had an awakening not after he said that. It took me longer, but I’m glad I’m better now and way more secure . I have so much guilt behind this, I feel like a very bad person .
