just ranting here, but I found out a few hours ago that I'm technically not invited to a family gathering in another state because the family member hosting assumed that I wasn't gonna go in the first place. does that make any sense at all? my mom was excited to tell me the other day that she was invited, and when I spoke to the family member earlier they said they weren't expecting me, but if I wanted to go, I'd have to sleep in the room booked for my two siblings. so I said nevermind, walled away from my mom and went and cried in the bathroom...

Well thats pretty crappy of them. I have always thought my friends are closer than my own blood. I'm really sorry this happened to you. ~hugs~ I know family is cruel sometimes but eventually people grow up and these things that happen now don't matter later. I feel like you should have a small conversation with them, and say that it still would've been nice to be invited, because they don't actually know if you really couldn't go. It was a poor assumption on their part. But family be like that sometimes. Your always welcome to rant more to me if you would like too. Sorry if what I said isn't what you wanted to read. I might have an opinion, however.

@TyeDarkSoul yeah. My mom didn't realize that she was the only one who said something to me about it...
