I get this, yeah. Being close to someone and intimacy is a great feeling, I can't deny that. But you're doing what you need to do to be happy and healthy, and I assume that this partner is an "ex-partner" for a reason- so remember that reason! And if ready and/or necessary, you can always throw yourself back out there :)
