Managing Overwhelming Physical Response to Stress

How do I manage the overwhelming physical response to my stress, the adrenaline, the heart palpitations, the chest pain? It's starting to affect my health in a big way. Is there medicine I can take to mitigate that? Fluoxetine helps keep me from getting too depressed, but it doesn't help the physical feeling of stress and rush of adrenaline I get from even small stresses. Even if I know logically I should be calm my body takes over.

It might be worth talking to your dr about an anti anxiety medication or supliment until your ptsd is manageable with just breathing anf grounding exercises. I have xanax that I used to take pretty often. Now i rately need it.
