I think I may have finally figured out what’s causing my kyphosis. My orthopedist referred me to get an MRI this month, so that’ll clear up things further. But a year or so ago, I got another MRI for an unrelated issue, but they found some very minor lung damage. Most likely from the vaping. I quit for several months after that, and then picked it right back up. I asked some people in a quit vaping support group if they’d ever had any upper back pain, and a few said yes. So I think the slightly bent upper spine could be due to lung issues from vaping. Perhaps my lungs have partially deflated, causing my spine to bend. I guess I’ll find out for sure once I get that MRI. My mom keeps wanting to go with me, but I really would prefer that she doesn’t. I don’t want her constantly harping on me for how bad vaping is. I KNOW THAT. Ugh. Maybe I can just convince her to let me go alone…
