I have had a Kyle a IUD for three years now. Before my IUD I had a period maybe 1 or two times a year with consistent heavy bleeding for 15-30 days straight. The iud was placed to help control this. I’ve had absolutely no period of any kind for three years and now (what I assume are “normal” periods) have started. My doctor called them breakthrough bleeds and for some reason prescribed Benadryl to “stop the bleeding.” Thoughts?

One user mentioned having a Kyleena IUD and experiencing no periods for three years, but there is no mention of breakthrough bleeding or using Benadryl to stop the bleeding. It's best to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice on this matter.
